Sometimes it is hard to understand the progress we have made as a community until you are able to see it from someone else’s perspective. 

A friend, who has been away for a number of years, is back in town and we invited her to spend time with a group of queer people. 

She was surprised by the number fo queer people present and said “Thanks for the get together. Was cool to see how much the queer community has grown.”

There is joy in our community. There is joy in welcoming Gena with a group of our chosen family.
