Being queer does not really have much role to play in my day-to-day life. In fact, it hardly comes up because it is such a tiny part of who I am. My sexual preference or orientation is only one small part. My friends and the people around me are cool with who I am. They don’t treat me any differently because of my queerness, and they don’t have any issues about my being queer. I think it might become a big deal if I were to come out to my family and have discussions with them about it. As far as the hate goes, people are hateful about so many things, so I don’t let it get to me. I just live my life by ignoring all the hate around me.
