በዚህ ዓለም አቀፍ የሰብአዊ መብቶች ቀን የኩዊር አፍሪካውያንን ድምጽ ለማጉላት እና ለፍትህ ለመሟገት እንደ ኩዊር ኢትዮጵያ በጋራ እንቆማለን። ማንኛውም ሰው፣ የወሲባዊ ማንነቱ ወይም የስርዓተ ፆታ ማንነቱ ምንም ይሁን ምን፣ ከአድልዎ፣ ከጥቃት እና ከእኩልነት አለመኖር የፀዳ ህይወት መኖር ይገባዋል።

በአሁኑ ወቅት በተለያዩ የአፍሪካ ሀገራት ያለው የፀረ ኩዊር ህግ መውጣት ወይም እንደክርክር ነጥብ የመነሳቱ ሁኔታ በጣም ያሳስበናል። ኡጋንዳ የተመሳሳይ ጾታ አፍቃሪያን ግንኙነትን ወንጀል የሚያደርግ፣ መድልዎ እና ስደትን የሚያቀጣጥል ህግ አውጥታለች። እንዲሁም በአሁኑ ጊዜ በጋና ይኸው ህግ ሊፈፀም ያለውን ሁኔታ በቅርበት እየተመለከትን ነው።

እነዚህ ድርጊቶች የኩዊር ግለሰቦችን መሰረታዊ ሰብአዊ መብቶች ከመጣስ በተጨማሪ ጎጂ የሆኑ መገለሎችን እንዲቀጥሉ ፣ ለፍርሃትና አለመቻቻል ባህል አስተዋጽኦ ያደርጋሉ። እንዲህ ዓይነቱ ህግ ከእኩልነትእና ከመከባበር መርሆዎች በተቃራኒ የቆመ በመሆኑ አጥብቀን እናወግዛለን።

ሰብአዊ መብቶች አለም አቀፋዊ መሆናቸውን እናስታውስ። አንድ ቡድን ሲጨቆን የሁሉንም መብትና ነፃነት ይቀንሳል። በመላው አፍሪካ የሚገኙ ሁሉ የኩዊር ግለሰቦችን መብት እንዲጠብቁ እናሳስባለን።

በጋራ፣ ሁሉም ሰው ያለ ፍርሃት እውነቱን የሚኖርበት፣ ፍቅር ድንበር የማያውቅበት፣ ፍትህ ለሁሉም እውን የሚሆንበትን የወደፊት ጊዜ መፍጠር እንችላለን። ለኩዊር አፍሪካውያን በምናደርገው የፍትህ ጥሪ ይቀላቀሉን።

We are deeply concerned about the current situation in several African countries, where anti-queer legislation is being enacted or debated. Uganda has already passed a law that criminalizes same-sex relationships, fueling discrimination and persecution. We are closely watching the developments in Ghana, where a law against queer people is currently under consideration.

These actions not only violate the fundamental human rights of queer individuals but also perpetuate harmful stigmas and contribute to a culture of fear and intolerance. We strongly condemn such legislation as it stands in stark contrast to the principles of equality, dignity, and respect.

Let us remember that human rights are universal. When one group is oppressed, it diminishes the rights and freedoms of all. We urge everyone across Africa to protect the rights of queer individuals.

Together, we can create a future where everyone can live their truth without fear, where love knows no boundaries, and where justice is a reality for all. Join us in our pursuit of justice for queer Africans.
