Welcome to the 16th issue of Nisnis!
This issue honors Ethiopian queer activists who defy great danger to fight for our community. In a country marked by virulent homophobia, simply existing as queer is risky – choosing activism means putting one’s life on the line. Through online advocacy, the creation of safe spaces, and quiet solidarity, these courageous individuals embody survival and are examples of what it takes to create change. Their sacrifices pave the way for acceptance, reminding us that every act of self-acceptance and community support is activism.
We apologize for the delay in publishing this issue of Nisnis and appreciate your patience. We invite you to read these powerful reflections. Feel free to reach us at *etqueerfamily@gmail.com*.
